Thats basicly the deal with Debian. The os-cillation repository has 
"testing" as distribution (for various reasons). If your APT is 
configured to prefer a distribution != "testing", it will assign a lower 
priority to the os-cillation packages, even tho they are newer, and so 
it will install the old packages from the preferred distribution. The 
`Debian way' of solving this `problem' is to use APT pinning (or wait).

It has been reported that APT pinning works pretty well with the Xfce 
packages and Debian/unstable (and even other Debian-based 
distributions). So, if you want to use 4.2.0, add the 3 lines to your 
preferences file, or stay with 4.0 from unstable.
