Preferred Applications

Hi everyone !

Benny (on os-cillation forum) informed me that it was not possible to
manage preferred application with xfce (for ex., Firefox is launched
when link is clicked in e-mail client). My question was about
Evolution and Benny explained me that it was an issue w/ Gnome. So
here's the question, what about Non-Gnome applications ? Is it
possible to launch FF when url is clicked in Thunderbird for ex. ?
