Cannot install xfce, fails at compiling installer

Im running suse 9.3 pro with gtk2 (2.6.4-6) and when the installer gets to
Compiling installer-gui it fails with this.
Compiling installer-gui... failed, see /root/.xfce4.installer-log for
details.
The log is filled with a whole lot of this.
