In my case, I've notice that, during Xfce4 start-up, xffm-deskview first
shows the default black background with 3 icons, then that disappears
and a white background with NO icons appears. After a few moments the
black background with 3 icons returns followed shortly thereafter by the
defined background image (still with just the three initial icons).
