can't stop nautilus from running with xfce

Hello,
I could use some help please.  I'm running xfce 4.2.1 under fedora 3
(updated via yum).  I ran nautilus to view something in the filesystem -
and now I can't get rid of it.  In previous times, it was sufficient to
kill nautilus and log out and back in.  Now, I can kill it but it
restarts when I log in - the rest of xfce (panel, taskbar) seems to be
running also.  I don't know where this info is being stored (to restart
nautilus on login).
All pointers/help appreciated
