Different beahvior when upgrading from Mandrake 10.0 -> 10.1

Hi all,
Just little things:
I upgraded my work computer from Mandrake 10.0 to 10.1 (XFce 4.0.6 in
both distributions), thus keeping my config files. At home I have a
fresh 10.1 install and the XFce behavior is slightly different:
- fullscreen windows at home take the whole screen, while at work they
stop on top of the panel (I don't know yet which one I like most)
- menus at work pop up under te active windows (are thus unusable),
while at home they are showing up on top of the windows, as it's
supposed to happen

Are these behaviors configurable? If so, where?
