hi xfce4!

oh no! I tried upgrading to xfce4 beta using the os-cillation debian
packages: 4.1.99+cvs.20041112-1. Last time I did this things worked
great, and I really wanted to try out some of the new goodies,
esp. the keyboard switcher and the media player. But oh the horror!
xfce4 breaks rather than startup! This is what ends up in
.xsession-errors:

/etc/gdm/PreSession/Default: Registering your session with wtmp and
utmp
/etc/gdm/PreSession/Default: running: /usr/bin/X11/sessreg -a -w
/var/log/wtmp -u /var/run/utmp -x "/var/lib/gdm/:0.Xservers" -h "" -l
":0" "matt"
/etc/gdm/Xsession: Beginning session setup...

and then no start up! help! what's happening? any clues?

right now I'm stuck in gnome (ick!) and having trouble finding my way
around -- I'd appreciate it if folks would cc me, as I'm not sure I'm
on the list right now. thanks!

matt
