How to turn off task bar in xfce 4.2 RC1

Im running XFce 4.2 RC1 with the session manager,  now i want to turn 
off the task bar.  I commented it out in /etc/X11/xdg/xfce4/xinitrc
But it did not seem to help.  The i tried starting a new session but 
that also did not help.  How can i turn off the task bar ?
Mandrake 10.1 official, installed rpms from eslrahc and then goodies 
from os-cillation.
