It actually sounds like a superb idea to me.
I am seriously considering taking it up as a project. I DO have the
programming skills to implement it - sounds like a fun project to work
on when I need to take a break from my computer science senior project...
It seems a few other people have expressed interest as well. Perhaps we
should clarify a potential featureset? I'll be thinking about it myself
over the next few days.
