Hi Andy, Darrell,

gdesklets works fine here under XFCE4 and Debian/unstable.

Did you start gdesklets twice? First in deamon mode and then you can
choose your desklet.

I have on one line in my .xsession: gdesklets &
This starts gdesklets in deamon mode.
Now I can call on bash: gdesklets <path_to_your_desklets>/<desklet>
(The last command is only needed on first start)

Next time you only need to start gdesklet in deamon mode, it will load
your last configuration automaticaly.
