Hey thanks for your response.

Yeah, I figured it wasn't the installers fault.

I found it and just started it up.
This seems to happen to me a lot...certain parts of xfce4 don't start up
sometimes.  I am using the session manager from cvs but I think it must
be my fault....usually is :).  I must have unknowingly shut it down.  I
will have to remember this next time something is not working...check to
make sure it is running (slaps head).  Although, I didn't know that the
iconbox was a separate app that you had to run.

I checked ~/.xfce4/xinitrc and there is no line to start the iconbox,
but if you use the session manager does it still go to xinitrc?

Whatever, if it is not working I will just start it up manually.
