Launcher display contents of a folder?

Is it possible to have a launcher menu display the contents of a folder?  I'd love to have a menu that displays my desktop/.autostart folder, but as I change the programs there frequently, it'd be ideal if I could just point to the folder and it would create/delete the launchers accordingly.
