Question regarding upgrading

Hello friends,

thanks yet again for a great window manager, it keeps on rocking, anyway...my question now. A while back I reinstalled my FreeBSD-box at work and I installed the XFCE-port 4.0.5 at time of the install, now I have manually installed via compilation 4.0.6, would it be safe to deinstall the 4.0.5-ports, I believe it should be, but I am not completly sure.
