display size of window while resizing?

feature request -

This is one feature I miss that most other window managers provide.
I like to see the dynamically changing size of windows i'm resizing
displayed (in characters for terminal windows; pixels for all else).
That way its easy for me to resize a terminal to a particular size
(back to 80 or 132 columns for instance) and is useful for knowing what
-geometry to pass to applications in scripts.

often this is displayed in the center of a window.  some window managers
put the labels in rubberband bars along the side.  another place to do it
would be in the title bar (obviously wouldn't work on small windows) to
avoid the redraw messiness that putting it centered in the window causes.
