Xlock over xscreensaver?

Folks, a question.  What is the best way to have XFce4 use xlock over
xscreensaver without removing xscreensaver from my box (as my occasional
Gnome use needs it)?

That is, what should I modify?  I'm guessing I should alter xflock4 to
be, say:

xlock || xscreensaver-command -lock $*

or similar (just xlock $*).  I also guess I should comment out the
xscreensaver command in ~/.xfce4/xinitrc.  But is there anywhere else?
