well, my first Palm (a V) came with Chapura for Outlook, which mostly
worked but would occasionally decide to duplicate everything. Since
that's how the Evo conduits act too, I'm inclined to agree with the
pilot-link folks that the Palm's internal storage schema is simply
FUBAR'd.

My next Palm (a Clie 610c) came with nothing for Outlook conduits, but
I'd quit using Outlook long before buying it anyway. Since it was a
USB-only device, I spent an inordinate amount of time finding a work
around to use it with Linux (the document of my troubles and eventual
"success" is still one of the most popular pages on my website).

I say "success" because while 3 out of 4 syncs would actually happen if
you did the whole process right, and only half of those would duplicate
everything in sight, and only one in ten or so would trigger the USB
kernel bug to crash the machine, I still found the whole experience
annoying enough that it became a choice between the Palm or Linux. IOW,
the Palm had to go.
