How to "move this window to workspace n" in xmms?

No, it isn't. I also run 4.0.6 and have no problem with xmms. What 
version of xmms are you running? I run 1.2.10, patched to handle 
proxies. I have no idea how different versions might effect your 
experience of xmms on Xfce, but that combination of apps works properly 
for me.
