xfce & kde: tray icons

Hi all!

XFCE is my lovely and only desktop environment at home computer, but my wife uses kde. I have decided to make a launcher for K Menu.
When the applications which use system tray are launched via K Menu (kppp, kmoon etc) the icons don't appear in the tray! After such an attempt the subsequent launches of the same program from console or a launcher show the same behavior.
Does anybody have ideas?
