Actually, I am running RC3 in Mandrake since that is the only set in RPM
form that I have found. I am running RC4 on the Red Hat workstation
since RPM's almost always come out first for them. I haven't tried
building/rebuilding an RPM as yet. I was actually going to do that today
for another porpose. Might try it for XFce-4rc4, too.

I may just try installing and compiling from source...

If you want the complete story on THAT issue you should subscribe to
'gnome-pilot-list at gnome.org' and look at my posts and those of others
complaining about the same thing. :0) The gist is this: Evo versions
above 1.2.2(?4) are buggy in syncing with gnome-pilot on *some*
distro's (namely, Mandrake!) Supposedly, this will be fixed in version
1.5. It's hit or miss, depending on distro versions, conduits, which
way the wind is blowing, etc., etc., etc......
