Pointers to xfce4 help

I've got the same problem on my laptop running RH9. It turned out that
problem was with battery plug-in in panel. It crashed panel, which kept
restarting and crashing. I had to add "acpi=off" parametar when booting
(kernel 2.6) to make it work.
