Libxfce4gui compile problem

Hi all,

I have been trying to compile libxfce4gui and I keep getting an error
that says that "X Windows libraries and headers" are missing.  I have
all the xlibs installed.  Any ideas?  On the other hand, xfce4 seems to
be running fine without it.the only thing is the iconbox won't compile
without the gui part.  Hope someone can help.
