What do you think about a forum?

Agreed...also, every web forum thing I've tried to use has done a
terrible job of keeping up with read/unread messages.

Searching is nice, but I think a more useful option would be to
add a search function to the archive pages at
http://varmint.moongroup.com/pipermail/xfce/

But hey, that's just me.
