Taskbar and maximized windows

Hello List!

Having compiled XFCE 3.8.18 with the taskbar enabled, maximized
windows cover the little arrows for the popups on the MainPanel. I
can correct this bi setting the Mainpanle more to the top, but
sometimes I need the botteom lined of the now covered application
window.
Is there a way to set the area a maximized window is to fill?
