I always found the default config so ugly that I couldn't stick with it
for very long.

It (as do KDE and GNOME) also looks too much like windows for my taste.

Thats all pretty subjective. By all accounts it is an excellent WM.

hmmm ... maybe I'll pull it down and use it for a week or two.
