Hey Dan, Be sure to subscribe to the xfce4-dev mailing as well, if you aren't already. I am probably going to make one more adjustment to the plugin API (to prevent plugins like yours from crashing the panel ;-) All development discussion takes place there and changes are (usually) announced there first.
