Any one of the 4 icon sizes can be set on a global basis from main menu:
options->views. If the view you selected has more/less column
information than you require, select options->columns to hide/show.
Configuration is automatically saved when you change views or visible
columns so you only have to do it once.

Press tab key or drag the pane separator to make the second column
appear. Ctrl-tab will hide it. The second column will only have icons
and names, further info (owner, mode, etc.) are viewable from the first
pane, if so configured.
