starting with XFCE4

I finally installed XFCE4 under SuSE 9.0, using kdm to start things
going.  On one of my machines, there is no problem starting XFCE4 up
from the kdm menu.  On another of them, however, the installation did
not insert the command to call XFCE4 onto the kdm menu.  I can't find
any differences between the two machines to make a difference here.

What sort of command do I insert, where, to start off with XFCE4 as my
default desktop?
