Gnome top panel is offset down after fresh login using XFWM4

Hi,

I've got a similar problem with my Mandrake Linux system.

When running XFce4 (4.0.1), if I launch gnome-panel (set to top), the Gnome
(2.4.0) panel will be shifted down on the screen, according to the XFce Top
Workspace Margins I set.
Unfortunately, I had set this top margin... for the Gnome panel!

This worked fine (I rather should say: as I expected) before. I don't know
which update has introduced this initial shift.

As for you, using panel properties, first setting position to down, then back
to top, fix my issue: the Gnome panel then goes to the very top.

Thus, you may check that your problem is not due to workspace margins.

Cheers,
Roger.
