How to remove an app from the taskbar?

For chrissake! What the f*ck are standards for, if everybody doesn't
follow them?

He is free to say that the required functionality is not widely asked
for or that it unneccesarily complicates his interface or anything
except that it isn't his responsibility to control how *his* windows
appear by default.

The app is broken, get it fixed.
