Themes dont seem to change anything ?

This catches a lot of people -- me included. XFce themes work by
generating a .gtkrc with the appropriate colors. However, it will not
modify a .gtkrc that it did not generate. The solution therefore is:

$ mv ~/.gtkrc ~/.gtkrc.bak

And then change themes.
