open dialog

Thanks for answering my question, I realized after I had asked this
question twice and started tinkering with it a little that I had
something to learn about the file dialog. Basically I tried putting a /.
in the file entry box and it went straight to vim's own open file
dialog, showing me all the dotfiles I had ever wanted.

I guess in the end my problem is that I am not really a hacker, I do a
little scripting now and then, but I have more or less tried to stay away
from hacking and in it's most primitive basics and fundamentals Linux is
a OS that is made by hackers for hackers and for the rest of us it is
basically just hard luck. Don't get me wrong, I love linux and I
wouldn't go away from it even if somebody paid me to. I also think that
xfce is the best thing that ever happened to the linux desktop. But I do
get a little disilutioned with the whole hacker mentality.

I'm afraid I may have sounded a little pissed, I didn't mean to.

Gummi.

We may find out why mankind is here, although that is complicated,
and begs questions like "Where else should we be, and what else we
should be doing?".
