A followup on themes

  Thanks to folks here, I found the gtk themes on themes.freshmeat.net. When
I download some to try, into what filesystem/directory do I untar them?

  On a related issue, I have icon size set to small. This makes the panel a
single layer across the bottom of my screen. If I try to display, for
example, 10 virtual desktop buttons and 12 icons, they disappear around the
sides of the monitor and are not visible.

  There must be a way to display as many choices as are available. Will
someone please explain to me how to do this?

P.S. On the multiple startup virtual terminals on desktop one: there is
nothing in ~/Desktop/Autostart and no reference to any aterm in ~/.xinitrc.
Again, this behavior showed up only with the latest version of xfce and with
none of the earlier ones. Quite a puzzle.
