No sound with xfsound - ??

Ok, checked that the users where in the audiogroup - they were...

However I solved my problem. Seemed that the ALSA-drivers didn't like
coexisting with the other drivers for my soundcard. I disabled ALSA in
services, and voila - sound is on every time now.

sounds as root. Or just check userdrake to see if your user is in the audio
group. If I am not mistaken, Mandrake defaults to a user being in only that
users group. You have to add the others. Hope this helps!
