Version 3.8.16 is the current released stable version. Version 3.8.18
is the successor and, AFAIK, is just waiting for release. Version 4 is
the next major that is currently in development. It's probably
Alpha/Beta right now.

A lot. XFce4 is GKT 2 based. It'll have lots and lots of goodies but
someone else would have to expound on them.
