errors when starting XFce: invalid string constant "xfcebar_taskbar4"

hi,
long time since i posted on this list (and read it, too) - i have finally 
installed a linux workstation at home after using XFce at work for years and 
currently being unemployed ...

so, on Redhat 7.3, i am using a self-compiled version of xfce-stable 
(http://www.xfce.org/archive/xfce-cvs-snapshot.tar.gz from some days ago)
when starting xfce, i get:
/home/wolf/.gtkrc:231: error: invalid string constant "xfcebar_taskbar4",
expected valid string constant

it runs nevertheless tho.
