Associations

I'm planning on moving from KDE to xfce on the RH 7.3 box I'm putting 
together (I get enough bloat from windows <G>)  and had a question.
Under xfce how does one associate files with apps as we do in KDE?  For 
example, how can I have OpenOffice open all it's spreadsheets with the OOo 
spreadsheet just by clicking on a file.  Is it possible?
