Jay,

  When I first started to fix my display, I killed X then restarted it. No
difference.

  I've started reading the docs. Perhaps that'll teach me how to make each
button a different color. Since I have all 8 lined up in a single row,
different colors does make it much easier to hit the target with the pointy
device.
