X server crashing

Hi there,

Many thanks to Ben for his e-mail. Me being silly, I didn't check
the logs.

There is something in there that used to give me a hard time some
months ago on Mandrake 8.0 . I think what I am after is DPMS (which
is enable in one place or the other), but I don't remember :

a. What it is
b. What it does, and
c. Where it is ! :-)

Anyone , any ideas about dpms ?
