Aehm .. actually that already works.
Since the dot  is part of the filename, it is sufficient to select "Sort by
Name" + "descending" in View --> Sort

In Details view you can just click on the "Name" column to sort by name. Click
twice to toggle between ascending/descending.

Make sure that "show folders before files" is set in the "view preferences".
