it is not (solely) dependent on the 2nd display but also with disconnecting
from work ethernet (and related servers). Would xfce/thunar be searching too
long because of shortcuts that have been set up for particular servers which
are no longer on-line when resuming in the train? But why would libreoffice be
halted by this when a locally loaded file is open but in unworkable form?
