Description: 
Unfortunately, not reproducable. But there's a backtrace.

According to the core dump:

(gdb) print new_iter->setting
$4 = (McsSetting *) 0x60

(gdb) print channel->settings
$5 = (McsList *) 0x0

(gdb) print new_iter
$6 = (McsList *) 0x8053fd0

(gdb) print new_iter->setting->name
Cannot access memory at address 0x60

Oh, it's quite easy to reproduce:

Just enter a image that does not exist in the configuration. You get the
message:

xfdesktop Fehler: lade Hintergrundbild: Datei »/usr/share/x« konnte nicht
geöffnet werden: Datei oder Verzeichnis nicht gefunden

Click ok, then crash. BTW: The error message is displayed in the
background, i.e. behind all normal windows and behind the configuration
manager. So you don't normally see it!!
