I think we can do that yes... What I basically would propose that
artwork can be submitted by anyone (even if you're not the author) but
that I will ask if the submitter actually proposed this to the
author... although most artwork should be or license free or gpl
license I'd rather be polite...

We will have a seperate sections for icons, gtk, wm themes, splash
themes and whatever other themes would popup in the run of
everything...
I like the metatheme thing... we can add it :) What would be a
"consistent" interface then? like wm theme + icon theme + gtk theme?

Basically I was thinking that I/or other people will propose the
author of popular themes (so that will be pretty much on demand) if
he/she wants to submit a theme to directory.xfce.org and if he/she
doesn't want I will submit it myself or somebody else can.. The only
criteria will be that I want to be sure that the original author has
been contacted.... Anyway it still to be seen how important this
actually is. I will start with the whole thing like that but if it
doesn't work out like I want we can still change the thing off course.
