[Thunar-dev] Thunar selecting new files

Hi.

I wondered if anyone might be so kind as to explain what I have to do to convince Thunar to 
automatically select newly created folders.

I know it's a bug as described here:
https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=7328

There's comment 7 with attachment 3734 a bit down the site suggesting a solution. But I absolutely 
have no idea what to do with the code.

Can I just insert the code somewhere and if where?
