[Thunar-dev] Ubuntu, the scourge of HAL

Hello everyone,
As I'm sure some of you are aware, Ubuntu 10.04 removed HAL from the boot
process "to make it boot faster". This, as I'm sure some of you can work
out, destroyed Thunar's automounting.
Now: Is there, in the current (1.01) version of Thunar in Ubuntu, a way to
restore automounting without HAL, or is it still in the transition phase and
dependent upon HAL?
Basically: Am I stuck with manually restoring HAL to boot (or starting by
hand) until a future update, or have I just not configured something?
Any help much appreciated,
Slainte,
J
