Thanks for the reply. This sounds pretty good. I am looking forward to
your thesis results.
I just checked on your questions. So let me summarize:
- currently gtk+-2.14.7 is installed.
- All mentioned gtk+ based programs are linked to that version.
- gvfs is not installed.
- I use a gentoo linux installation.
I could not really figure out on that GIO you were talking about.
If you could help me how to find out, whether I use GIO or not, and in
case the info is still interesting for you, I would happily check it.
