[Thunar-dev] Thunar and not wanting to mount devices with HAL (Clarification)

I've posted again on the Arch forum, hopefully clarifying my suggestion.
Recap:

By restricting what Thunar (base package) detects and displays to nothing
other than the filesystem under /, volume management could become completely
modular, and people like myself could choose to use AutoFS or HAL or any
other method of volume management without the redundancy or dependencies of
multiple volume management systems.

That is, unless the entire Linux DE world is destined to be based on HAL, in
which case my point is moot.
