Ok I understand now.  A while ago I submitted a bug report / feature  
request (http://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2068) about the  
right-click actions on folders also being applicable to pathbar  
icons.  I think that would be the way to do this - i.e. a plugin that  
allows you to right-click a folder, go to (say) "Open Inside".
