Firefox (default) has two side panes too. In Firefox, there's Ctrl+B for
Bookmarks side pane and Ctrl+H for History side pane. When e.g. the
Bookmarks side pane is visible, and one presses Ctrl+B, the side pane
will be hidden. That is, the shortcuts toggle the visibility of their
corresponding side panes (and replaces an eventually other visible side
pane).
