Have you looked at some of the emails floating around on the list about
Thunar's architecture?  Benny had a nice relational diagram that you
should look at.  Granted, that's subject to change, but you should keep
it in mind.

Also keep in mind that a lot of this stuff is in flux, and depending on
the direction Thunar finally takes, anything you write may not be
relevant or useful anymore.  That's really why there's no code yet: no
one enjoys doing a half-assed design job that results in throwing away
code when a partial redesign is needed.  If you're bored and just want
to play around, sure, but expect things to change as the design evolves
and finalises.
