            Bug ID: 9931
           Summary: clarify use of kibibyte/kilobyte
    Classification: Panel Plugins
           Product: Xfce4-netload-plugin
           Version: 1.0.0
          Hardware: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: Medium
         Component: General
          Assignee: frivoal at xfce.org
          Reporter: liv-public at myopera.com
        QA Contact: goodies-dev at xfce.org

Currently the maximum speed limits for the bars are indicated using KiB/s,
which I assume is kibibyte per second. Even though this seems to be technically
correct ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KiB ), unaware users will be confused by
the "strange" notation since most users are used to KB as in 'kilobyte'. Adding
a small tooltip to the 'maximum incoming/outgoing' input fields would help
clarify it for users. It could be along teh lines: "Input maximum speed in
kibibytes per second".
